Pass the Aux, is a series dedicated to amplifying new and upcoming musicians. We will get you up-to-date in discovering new music monthly to the point where your friends will ask you to “pass the aux!” The first Thursday of every month consists of some of the members of dayfour choosing musicians to highlight. We will give you our thoughts, our feelings and our theories on those musicians (strictly from a consumer standpoint).

blkcory’s pick: Flozigg
This month I wanted to pick something a little different. With the weather changing, I wanted to find some mood music. This artist fit the bill for real. Flozigg’s music gives off that fall feeling of being bundled up for the weather but you’re still vulnerable to the wind because you don’t have enough layers on. It can be moody, it can be more laid back but either way, it’s full of emotion.
I think I heard this one out at a lounge somewhere. Can’t remember where exactly but big ups to the dj. I was just trying to cool out that day and this fit the vibe perfectly. Definitely my favourite song of his.
This song really sounds like one those ones that you play when you’re barefoot in the sand on a beach in California, you know? Well until the second verse…then you take in my man was really going through it when he wrote this. The man said he’d been “drowning in his thoughts”…that can only pain yo.
Flozigg is really pleading his case to this woman on this song. The man just wants her to put her phone down. The man said he’ll even listen to her talk all night. If you need some music to play because your girl is always on the phone and you been trying to send some sort of passive-aggressive message to her, this song should do the job yo.
