Fav Songs From the 2nd Quarter (2022)

– blkcory

Ya boy’s back with another list of songs that have come out in the last few months that my music heads should really check out.

Future feat. Drake and Tems – Wait For You

This track slaps man. If you haven’t heard this one, then you’re actively trying to avoid it. This is going to be one of those tracks that will probably make Future’s greatest hits compilation or something.

Ambré – Wild Life…

I’ll be real, I heard about Ambré on a podcast over the past few months. Before that, I didn’t know her at all but after hearing ‘3000°‘, I won’t forget her name.

Kendrick Lamar feat. Sampha – Father Time

I haven’t really been in the headspace to take this Kendrick album in properly yet but this has been one of the tracks I find I keep coming back to. It’s nice to see Sampha on a track again.

Wiz Khalifa, Big K.R.I.T., Girl Talk and Smoke DZA – Put You On

For those that are fans of any of the artists on this track, they’ve actually put an entire album out together called Full Court Press‘. It’s not what you’d expect when you see these names together but it’s a very enjoyable listen. Lots of tracks to go back to.

Vince Staples feat. Ty Dolla $ign – Lemonade

I’ve been telling people since this song came out that it’s gonna hit different when the sun’s out. I have yet to play it for people this summer and been proven wrong.

THEY. – Blü Moon

THEY. is a group that somehow keeps getting better with time. This is probably one of my favourite singles from them and I think I said that the last two times they put an album out.

Drake – Tie That Binds

Unpopular opinion: I really like this track and actually think the production on it was solid.

M Huncho feat. BNXN fka Buju – Pray 2 The East

M Huncho is nice and this song bangs man. Talk to someone else about your beef with him.

Knucks – Three Musketeers

If you’re looking for some new UK Hip-Hop, look no further than Knucks. My favourite song from his album ‘Alpha House‘ changes every week.

42 Dugg and EST Gee – Everybody Shooters Too

It’s EST Gee and 42 Dugg man. At this point, you either know what that means or you’re about to find out. This track’s hard yo.

Westside Boogie feat. Kalan.FrFr and Mamii – Somethin Strange

I didn’t think I’d be big on Boogie singing on tracks but honestly, this is a great song yo. It’s a song you might keep coming back to when you’re in the mood for it.

IDK – Drugstore

IDK and Kaytranada together is a collab I didn’t even know I wanted. Now that it’s here though, I’m glad “Simple.” is an entire project. This is too much of a vibe for IDK and Kaytra to only give us one song.

Pusha T – Call My Bluff

I already told you guys what I thought about this album in my review on It’s Almost Dry. There was no way a Push track was missing this list.
